HD Asia Advisory visits Dublin
On March 14th HD Asia Advisory visited Institute Technology Tallaght and was welcomed by their President Mr. Pat McLaughlin who had visited Indonesia last January. After a presentation on how Irish university works together with startups, we toured Synergy Center, their startup incubator. The group then visited University College Dublin's incubator, NovaUCD which has a slightly different concept than Synergy Center. Followed by visiting The Digital Hub incubator. The Digital Hub is an Irish government initiative focusing on digital content and technology enterprises. Dr. Stephen Brennan gave an inspirational presentation on Irish digital media and how Indonesian startup could learn from Ireland startup companies.
HD Asia Advisory visits Enterprise Ireland's Headquerter
HDAA along with StartupLokal initiators and a journalist was invited to visit the Enterprise Ireland Headquarter in Dublin on March 13th. We were welcomed by Mr Kevin Sherry, Director of International Sales & Partnering of Enterprise Ireland.
The first meeting was conducted with John Convery of High Potential Start Ups Division who explained the role, activities and experience of Enterprise Ireland in building an entrepreneurship and innovating ecosystem. HDAA also met Dublin Web Summit who gave an introduction and overview on building International Networks and attracting key figureheads to inspire and collaborate.
HDAA went to The Star Education fair in Kuala Lumpur
HDAA met with Irish Education providers in Kuala Lumpur on January 8 and presented their report on Indonesian Higher Education Opportunities for Irish Education providers at Traders Hotel.
The report was commissioned by Enterprise Ireland. We also met IUMC and Universitas Parahiyangan to explore the possibility of sending Indonesian PhD candidates to Ireland. After the meeting we visited Education Ireland's booth at the Star Education Fair at Petronas Tower. There were several representatives of Irish higher education institutions present.
The Government of Ireland Explores Opportunities in the Indonesian Education Sector
Jakarta, 9 December 2010 – The Ireland Delegation to Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, and Timor Leste made a visit to Indonesia on 1-3 December 2010. The delegation, which was officiated by the current Irish Ambassador HE Joseph Hayes and the Director Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines at Enterprise Ireland Mr. Patrick O’Riardan, met with its counterparts from University of Indonesia (UI), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR), to talk potential cooperation among Irish Higher Education Institutions and several Indonesian universities.
Investment and Trade Forum in Shanghai
The Indonesian Embassy in China organized an investment forum on October 23th 2007 in Shanghai. Approximately 80 representatives from Singaporean, Chinese, Indian and Italian companies attended the event.
HDAA’s CEO, Bernardus Djonoputro, presented a number of investment opportunities in Riau mainly in infrastructure development and tourism sectors.

Promoting Riau in Singapore
The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore organized an investment forum for Riau Province on May 8th 2007 in Singapore. Approximately 80 representatives from Singaporean, Chinese, Indian and Italian companies attended the event.
In his opening speech Governor Zainal Rusli stressed his vision and strategy to make Riau a viable place for investment. HDAA’s CEO, Bernardus Djonoputro, presented a number of investment opportunities in infrastructure development and tourism.
Aceh Governor Meets Irish Prime Minister
HD AsiaAdvisory organized a visit of leading Acehnese dignitaries delegation led by Governor Mustafa Abubakar to Dublin, Ireland on May 13th-18th 2006 to meet with government officials and business leaders.
The other members of the delegation included the Vice Speaker of the Aceh Local Parliament, the Mayor of Sabang, the Head of the Aceh Investment Board, the Chairman of the Sabang Special Authority, the Chairman of the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Regional Council (DPD) representing Aceh.
The highlight of the four-days visit was the meeting with Prime Minister Bertie Ahern at his office in Dublin. The delegation also visited the Parliament and met with Minister of Transportation, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Fisheries.
HD Asia Enables Wakatobi Government to Apply Sustainable Development Framework
Wakatobi, February 8, 2010 - Wakatobi is named after the four islands of Wangi Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia, and Binongko that are located off the coast of Southeast Sulawesi. Wakatobi is part of Coral Triangle area, a region that encompasses the highest coral reef biodiversity in the world, having 942 species of fish and 750 of the world’s 850 coral reef species. Wakatobi has a good deal of potential to become a world-class marine tourism destination.
